A Rugby World Cup 2011 Government Coordination Office (RWC Office) has been established within the New Zealand Ministry of Economic Development and in 2007 a delegation of senior officials visited the UK to examine best practice in legacy planning.
Andy Preece and Peter Mann, directors of pmplegacy participated in a series of high level workshops which culminated in the development of a ‘leverage and legacy plan’ for the event. Of particular interest to the New Zealand team was our expertise in effective and innovate legacy planning and implementation programmes that looked as much at the ‘soft’ legacy issues of participation as well as ensuring viable financial futures for built facilities.
