pmplegacy was originally retained by World Cup Barbados (WCB) to investigate the feasibility of Barbados bidding for the finals and Super 8 matches of the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
This work led to a six year relationship with WCB that encompassed the following roles and assignments: Peter Mann acting as a strategic advisor and facilitator to the WCB Board; business and development plans for the re-development of Kensington Oval Stadium; an economic and tourism impact study; coordinating and writing the CWC bid book and advising on the planning and presentation of the Barbados bid to the ICC Venue Assessment Team; leading the legacy planning for the event and advising on the creation of the legacy delivery vehicle Legacy Barbados; working with the WCB team on the planning and preparation for the Super 8s and final and then having a ‘hands on’ project management role for the event itself.
