pmplegacy, working with the Centre for Olympic Studies and Research at Loughborough University, was appointed by the National Audit Office (NAO) to assess the lessons learnt from the delivery of previous Olympic Games.
The study involved an exhaustive review of the literature developed around previous Olympic Games and other 'mega' events to provide an insight into the issues likely to impact on London 2012 delivery organisations and public sector stakeholders. Our analysis incorporated the review of official documents developed by previous host city delivery organisations, independent audits and academic and commercial analysis documents to identify key successes, challenges and risks in relation to delivering a success event and legacy.
