England Netball has appointed pmplegacy to assist with the development of their bid to host the World Netball Championships in 2015. Working in partnership with Manchester City Council, UK Sport and the Northwest Regional Development Agency, pmplegacy is playing an integral role in developing a bid that plays to England’s strengths and sets out the potential for the delivery of a world class sustainable event with legacy at its core.
Paul Clark, CEO, England Netball said “this is an exciting time for netball in England and we are delighted to be working in partnership with pmplegacy to develop what we hope will be a winning bid. The bid will help us to continue to raise the profile of netball in England and support our strategic objectives of growing and developing the game”
This support builds on the work that pmplegacy has undertaken over the last six months with England Netball including a ‘benefits of bidding workshop’ and a feasibility study to better highlight and understand the opportunities and challenges associated with bidding for and staging the World Netball Championships.
