PMP and Genesis announce merger

PMP and Genesis have announced the merger of their businesses to form pmpgenesis. The deal unites the two specialist consultancy practices, creating one of the largest sport and leisure consultancies in the UK and Ireland, and strengthening Genesis’ successful business consulting division.

pmpgenesis clients such as the The Football Association, Rugby Football Union, Rugby Football League, The Lawn Tennis Association, Madrid 2016, Delhi 2010, the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and national sports councils will reap the benefits of the combined experience of both practices and the merger will position the company for growth across all its markets.

Peter Mann and Alistair Gray, founding directors of PMP and Genesis respectively will continue to play significant roles in the new consultancy.

Peter Mann, as Founder Director of pmpgenesis will continue to lead the specialist major events division known as pmplegacy.

Peter said “The merger will enable us to expand our client offer in the major sports events industry and can now provide an ever greater depth of expertise. The talent that Genesis brings in sponsorship and commercial programmes, organisational development, innovation and high performance will enhance the service pmplegacy can deliver on the global stage”.

Alistair Gray, Founder and former Managing Director of Genesis is Chairman of pmpgenesis. His experience as Chairman of British Swimming and working with major sporting bodies will ensure a joint capability that is second to none.

Graham Farrant leads pmpgenesis as Chief Executive. He joined PMP three months ago from his position as Managing Director of Leisure Connection. The consultancy will continue to operate worldwide across the private and public sectors in sport, leisure and business markets.

pmpgenesis has 55 staff based across offices in London, Dublin, Belfast, Manchester, and Glasgow providing truly networked coverage across the UK and Ireland.
