Andrew Altman was appointed as Chief Executive of the Olympic Park Legacy Company on 29 May, 2009, and began work on 10 August, 2009. Andrew had previously been Philadelphia's first Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development and Director of Commerce – a position created by the Mayor in March, 2008, to bring together all the planning and economic development functions of the city.
